Seduction and Snacks

Seduction and Snacks by Tara Sivec

5 Hilarious Stars!!!

Claire is a twenty-something, single mom that grudgingly helps her best friend sell sex toys while she attempts to make enough money to start her own business to give her foul-mouthed, but extremely loveable (when he’s asleep) toddler a better life.

When Carter, the one-night-stand from her past that changed her life forever, shows up in her hometown bar without any recollection of her besides her unique chocolate scent, Claire will make it a point that he remembers her this time.

With Carter’s undisguised shock at suddenly finding out he has a four-year-old son and Claire’s panic that her stretch marks and slim to none bedroom experience will send the man of her dreams heading for the hills, the pair will do whatever they can to get their happily ever after.

Warning: contains explicit sex, profanity and enough sarcasm to choke a horse.

Double Review

So this book had me laughing out loud a LOT.

It is I would possibly say American pie meet Fifty Shades.

Brilliantly narrated by Romy Nordlinger, it is well worth a credit.

Imagine if you will,……….

You are 20 years old and still a virgin, you want to get rid of your v card and you will do this by any means.

Claire does this by getting drunk and having sex with a random man and then getting pregnant on her first time how is that for ironic?

Claire doesn’t see the father of her child (until later) and slowly gets back into normal life, well as normal as Claire’s normal can be.

Liz her best friend is amazing, I thought she was wonderful I really enjoyed her character, and also making Claire work selling sex toys is the funniest chapter I have ever read.

Claire is hilarious and Carter is just lovely. There is a LOT of use of the word Vagina however it’s done in a humorous way and I personally I found it very very funny.

Gavin the little boy is absolutely hilarious, and I found myself laughing out loud on the bus to work, getting very funny looks as I always listen to my books on audio.

This book is Crude, Rude, and very very funny.

I would highly recommend it especially if you may be looking into the erotic book section and are not too sure about which one to start with.

I have recommended it to all of my friends.

5 delicious stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Here is my short but SWEET review of this fun book! I’ve read the entire series and it is definitely worth a read/listen when you are in the mood for a fluffy fun getaway!🍫

I loved, loved, loved, this book! Absolutely hilarious!

I wanted to hang out with these people, have some drinks, have some laughs, and of course eat some chocolate…… Chocolate covered potato chips? never had them, but now I’m craving them…… This is a book I finished and then immediately purchased the next book in the series….

I guess this probably isn’t for everybody…. but if you have a sense of humor, and it’s a little crude, you will absolutely love this book!

🎧🎧🎧 The audio narration was done by Romy Nordlinger… she did an amazing job, I wonder how hard it was to read some of the parts of this book without laughing out loud!

PS:V recommended this book to one of our friends who is not a romance fan, well that’s actually being nice, she is a romance hater! Still makes me laugh! If you don’t like romance don’t read this book, your eyes will definitely be rolling, However you still will be laughing!

The Husband’s Secret – Featured on Flashback Friday

The Husband's Secret

The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty

4 Brilliantly narrated stars!

My Darling Cecilia
If you’re reading this, then I’ve died . . .

Imagine your husband wrote you a letter, to be opened after his death. Imagine, too, that the letter contains his deepest, darkest secret – something so terrible it would destroy not just the life you built together, but the lives of others too. Imagine, then, that you stumble across that letter while your husband is still very much alive . . .

Cecilia Fitzpatrick achieved it all – she’s an incredibly successful business woman, a pillar of her small community and a devoted wife and mother. Her life is as orderly and spotless as her home. But that letter is about to change everything, and not just for her: Rachel and Tess barely know Cecilia – or each other – but they too are about to feel the earth-shattering repercussions of her husband’s devastating secret.

I really enjoyed this book, at the beginning it was quite slow but all of a sudden it kicks in and then you are hooked.

The book focuses on 3 main characters Cecilia, Rachel and Tess.

Cecilia is like Monica from friends, super organised.
Everything has its own place (she even has an app on her iPhone in case she misses something)

Her daughter is slightly obsessed with historical events, (to the point where Cecilia and her husband think she may be autistic)
This months obsession is the Berlin Wall and Mrs organisation has an actual piece of the wall upstairs in a box in the attic.

While in the attic she accidently knocks over some of her husbands paperwork and finds a letter, addressed to her but only to be opened in the event of his death but he is very much still alive ……..what would you do??

Tess lives with her husband and little boy, she also owns a company with her husband and her cousin Felicity

Felicity used to be fat, really fat but has now slimmed down and is skinny and beautiful……………and she is in love with Tess’s husband.

Rachel, she has a lovely son with a gorgeous grandson who she loves dearly, but she has just been told that they are going to be moving to New York for 2 yrs and she is devastated.

All 3 stories although separate, entwine themselves very cleverly and reveal secrets and lies between family and friends.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and it was made even better by the always fabulous Caroline Lee who actually narrates all of Liane Moriarty, her comedy timing and accent are perfect!

You – Featured on Flashback Friday

You by Caroline Kepnes

5 seriously sick stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

When a beautiful, aspiring writer strides into the East Village bookstore where Joe Goldberg works, he does what anyone would do: he Googles the name on her credit card.

There is only one Guinevere Beck in New York City. She has a public Facebook account and Tweets incessantly, telling Joe everything he needs to know: she is simply Beck to her friends, she went to Brown University, she lives on Bank Street, and she’ll be at a bar in Brooklyn tonight—the perfect place for a “chance” meeting.

As Joe invisibly and obsessively takes control of Beck’s life, he orchestrates a series of events to ensure Beck finds herself in his waiting arms. Moving from stalker to boyfriend, Joe transforms himself into Beck’s perfect man, all while quietly removing the obstacles that stand in their way—even if it means murder.

This book was fantastically disturbing! I mean pretty much everyone in this book was really well….. disturbed! I really don’t know what to think of myself….. but I enjoyed being in the mind of a psychopath for 11 hours on audio!

I would strongly recommend the audio on this book…. the narrator Santino Fontana does amazing! It’s like you are there…. in Joe’s head…. and as crazy as Joe is, he really is quite the compelling character…..
Wow! Wow! Wow! If you are expecting a sweet romantic love story do not read this book…. but if you are wanting a dark, twisted, psychological thriller…. I’d pick this book up, For sure….
And there is a sequel?

Look out amazing Amy…. Or maybe Joe will have met his match😉

PS: I’d love to get Joe from this book, Amy from Gone Girl, Paul from Best Day Ever, and Emma from Until I Met Her into the same room and see what happens, LOL 😝
