She used to be your best friend. Now she’s your worst enemy.

When Lizzy Beresford discovers a threatening letter addressed to her, the words on the old, tattered paper chill her to the bone. But who sent it? Living in pretty cottage in a quiet country village, Lizzy’s never made any enemies in her life…

Except her sister.

Lizzy hasn’t spoken to Emma in years. Not since the argument which tore their relationship apart. Would her sister really want to cause her harm after all this time?

As Lizzy receives more disturbing messages, she begins to doubt those closest to her – her boyfriend, her best friend, her neighbours.

Because the mystery sender seems to know everything about her. And after a series of malicious incidents, it’s clear they won’t stop until they’ve destroyed her life.

Lizzy knows she must confront her sister. But can she trust her? And will she realise the shocking truth, before it’s too late?

💕The Rules of Rebellion

The Rules of Rebellion by Amity Hope

1. Skinny dip (her idea)
2. Stargaze (his idea)
3. Prank someone (her idea)
4. Go on a date (his idea)

Leo Zimmerman has had a crush on his curvy friend Kylie Jenkins since forever, so when he discovers the girl with a flair for candy making has a newfound plan to rebel against her overbearing parents, he’s determined to be the one to help her carry it out. Who better than himself to show her the ropes of letting loose?

Sure, taking her to her first high school party, helping her sneak out of the house, or watching a sunset together isn’t exactly a hardship, but much harder is masking his feelings the more time they spend together. And when he suggests adding “a first date” to Kylie’s plan and she accepts…suddenly all his dreams seem to be coming true.

But Leo’s got a secret that could change everything between them, and it’s only a matter of time before it comes to the surface.

4 Fun Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was just a fun clean read…. kylie is every parents dream child and every younger sisters worst nightmare…. after continual badgering from Little Sister for being such a goody goody…. Kylie decides to come up with a list of rebellious acts she wants to commit during her senior year…. topping her list skinny-dipping, but not really….

Kylie was such a real and extremely likable character…. someone you would have loved to be friends with in high school, especially because she brought yummy treats for you to taste test(She wanted to make candy after graduation)…. actually more important than that she was just a kind caring person…. Leo fines Kylie‘s list and decides to ask her if he can help her out with it…. because he has had a crush on her forever…. Leo was a good guy… the kind of guy you would absolutely love your daughter to date ….the problem though is Kylie’s not allowed to date….

So Kylie and Leo sneak around and of course get caught, but things are even more complicated than that….

It was interesting how different Kylie and Leo’s parents parenting styles were…. although both sets of parents love their children…. I might have analyzed it a bit and thought what I would have done in the situation… but as I know every child is different and every situation is different and just because something worked for me doesn’t mean it’s going to work for somebody else….

Strongly recommend when you’re just in the mood for a good clean read and if you aren’t a young adult it’s a bit nostalgic….

*** thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for a copy of this book ***
