4 Good Thing Stars ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ

Loved the โ€good thingsโ€ toasts in this book… we all need a group of women in our lives that will toast the good things we have going on๐Ÿฅ‚

This is the perfect book to read when sitting at the beach or wishing that you were… featuring a cast of strong women who really were there for one another…. this is the fifth book in the series, however it can be read as a standalone… although I was not lost I probably would have appreciated some of the backstory on some of these characters… but thatโ€™s because these characters were so colorful I wanted to know them better….

There was a lot going on in this book but a couple storylines really stood out to me…. Nikki was probably the character I found most relatable, just trying to do it all, and not wanting to admit that she couldnโ€™t… I completely got her, if somebody had suggested to me I needed help with my kids, I would have reacted the same exact way…. then we have the biggest mess of the book Kyra… that was a confounding situation, not sure why one woman much less two would want that Daniel…. I was rooting for Troy the entire time! Not only was he a great guy, but he also shares a name with my youngest son…

Loved how all the storylines in this book concluded, it was all very satisfying… I would also absolutely read the next book in this series, and Iโ€™d go back and read the previous books if I had the time…. this book left me with a smile on my face and craving the beach, cheese doodles, and egg soufflรฉ…

Strongly recommend to people who enjoy a book filled with friendship, family, drama, and food….

Shalini Boland has become an autobuy/request author for me… her writing style flows so well and has such a crisp and clean feeling to it (not even sure if that makes sense, but it does in my head)… this book was originally self published and now is being brought to you by Bookouture…. I had a busy reading weekend and this book made it so easy… after I picked it up I did not want to put it down… I needed to find out what was going on?

Anna appears to have it all… a beautiful home… a loving husband… the problem? Anna has a secret or four… Anna was a super likable character, although she did a lot of really stupid things… there were times in this book I wanted to reach through those pages and knock some sense into her… thankfully she had some people around her with a little more common sense… there were secondary characters in this book that surprised me, but I canโ€™t say much more than that…. in a book filled with so many twists and turns I canโ€™t tell you how I felt about the other characters… because you need to go into this without knowing who you can trust…

Moral of the story…. secrets only lead to lies and more secrets… if Anna had been honest, we would have never had this book….๐Ÿ˜‰

โ€œA lie can travel halfway around the world, while the truth is putting its shoes on.โ€

As a complete sidenote there is a part in this book that has made me even more confused about the English school system, so different from America… I have no idea what an A level is, and they appear to take fewer classes?

Strongly recommend to all fans of this author and the psychological thriller genre…
