Happy Thursday and happy start of summer! Today is my youngest child’s last day of school, his last day of his freshman year in high school, cannot believe it!
Today is also publication day for this wonderful book, and I am so thrilled to be part of the blog blitz! Many thanks to Noelle for the invitation and to D.K. Hood for this wonderful book!🖤
Description:
‘Don’t you agree Detective? That some people deserve to die? I’ve killed the first. I’ve killed the second. Now will you catch the others, or do I have to kill them too?’
The body of Amos Price lies in a pool of blood on the polished floor of an otherwise empty house. With no signs of a break in, and no clues left at the scene, Detective Jenna Alton is at a loss.
But as the team begins to unpick the life of the reclusive victim, they discover a disturbing link between Amos and the disappearance of several young girls in the county going back years.
Days later, another brutally murdered body is found, in a remote motel on the outskirts of town. Ely Dorsey was killed in a frenzied attack and Jenna fears not only that the murders are connected to the missing girls, but that the killer hasn’t finished yet.
As Jenna tries to work out who will be next, the killer suddenly starts sending her deputy, David Kane, messages. Is she being taunted? Or does the murderer want to be caught? And will Jenna discover who’s behind these killings before more people die?
An absolutely nail-biting thriller with plenty of twists, Follow Me Home is perfect for fans of Robert Dugoni, Karin Slaughter and Rachel Abbott.
~My Review~
4 Dark Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟
This is the third book in the Kane and Alten series… A dark and gritty police procedural set in a small town…A town with a history of missing girls….
Two dead bodies… are the murders connected and even more troubling are they connected to these missing girls…. Jenna Alton is a female detective with an edge… sometimes bordering on being rude… this case was also quite dark, and I’m still conflicted as to whether or not I wanted the ”bad guy” to be caught… is murder ever justified?
Jenna might not be my favorite female detective, but she is affective…. I also enjoyed the dynamics between David Kane and her…. I liked how the team went about solving the case and I appreciated the twists and turns….
Recommend if you are a fan of the police procedural with a darker tone….

Oh I am in California in the desert pretty much and we are going through a major drought, I think we are not going to be allowed to shower and do laundry in the same day or something crazy like that? Not sure how they’re going to police this? LOL

Wow, I’d have no idea unless they can monitor how much water from each residence but still how would they prove what you were doing with it and know how many were using it in the house etc? Very strange. We’re not quite that bad off out here but still for this time of year it’s very odd to not have any rain and way below average, can’t imagine what July and Aug will bring when it’s normally dry.

Believe me I’ve tried those a few times over the years and it never seems to work. LOL Another day with nothing here and there were even storm warnings out today…. all of it missed us completely.
