The Naked Truth

The Naked Truth by Vi Keeland

🌟🌟🌟🌟.5 Rainbow Stars

It was just a typical Monday.

Until the big boss asked me to make the pitch for a prospective new client.

After two years on shaky ground at work because of my screw up, an opportunity to impress the senior partners was just what I needed.

Or so I thought…

Until I walked into the conference room and collided with the man I was supposed to pitch.

My coffee spilled, my files tumbled to the ground, and I almost lost my balance.

And that was the good part of my day.

Because the gorgeous man crouched down and looking at me like he wanted to eat me alive, was none other than my ex, Gray Westbrook.

A man who I’d only just begun to move on from.

A man who my heart despised—yet my body obviously still had other ideas about.

A man who was as charismatic and confident as he was sexy.

Somehow, I managed to make it through my presentation ignoring his intense stare.

Although it was impossible to ignore all the dirty things he whispered into my ear right after I was done.

But there was no way I was giving him another chance, especially now that he was a client
…was there?

Second chance love you say? Sign me up i said!!

Loved this one, as you all probably know by now second chance love stories are probably one of my favourite to read, and this one had it all!

Layla is an Attorney, she is a hard worker, and is always the first one to arrive in the morning and the last one to leave at night.

A small mistake on her part had her doing some community service a few years ago, but now she is back on track and working her way up the ladder of success and maybe into a senior position at the firm.

She has a meeting with a client with a potential to make the company a lot of money, the thing is that she didn’t realise the client was no other that Gray Westbrook, a former flame of hers, she also didn’t realise that her feelings for him had only weakened and not died.

Gray, well what can i say about Gray but Hot Damn!!

There are a couple of things that majorly made me love him but unfortunately they would be spoilers so i’m not going to tell you them!

But what i can tell you, is that Gray is not the type of man to take no for an answer, he is not the type of guy to let someone else move in on his girl, and he is certainly not the type of man to walk away when the going gets tough!

The thing is that Layla doesn’t quite agree with him, so she has to consult her ‘Yeahway’ list to see if it works out in her favour.

What’s a Yeahway list??? Well that would be telling now wouldn’t it!

🎧🎧 Narrated by the dream-team that is Andi Arndt #SexyVoiceQueen and Sebastian York #SebYesPlease

You always know when a book is narrated by these two that you are in for a treat, they are like that comfy blanket you wrap up in, you always feel safe, warm and comfy.

Narration perfection *AND* a great story, what are you waiting for, pick it up!

Happy weekend bookworms!

Thrilled to be part of the blog tour and share my review with you for this dark domestic thriller! Many thanks to Kim for my invitation and to Laura Elliot for her compelling story🖤

One evening as the sun is setting, Amelia Madison’s car slides into the sea off Mason’s Pier. Her body is never found.

Two years later, Elena Langdon meets Nicholas Madison. She is grieving the loss of her mother, he is grieving for his wife. Together they can help each other.

Now Elena is living with Nicholas. But Elena doesn’t really know him. She doesn’t know what he is capable of.

And she doesn’t know what really happened to Amelia.

Until the day she discovers the torn page of a letter and the words she reads chill her to the bone.

Elena must find the person who wrote these letters if she is to save herself.

A totally breathtaking page-turner about the darker side of love and what really goes on behind closed doors. This book will have you gripped from the very first page until the dramatic final twist.

My Thoughts

4 compelling Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was a captivating, page turning, dark, and disturbing read….

This book starts off reading like a romance… Elena is grieving the death of her mother so when she meets Nicholas who is grieving the death of his wife she feels as though she has found a kindred spirit…. Nick is compassionate and understanding… he is exactly what Elena needs to get herself through the grieving period… they have a whirlwind romance and soon Elena has moved in with Nick… but what is up with the locked bedroom door???

Nick and this book are not as they first appear to be… Nick turns into a monster, and this book turns into a thriller filled with twists and turns and secrets… I thought this was a very impactful way to begin this book… we the Readers are lured in and fooled by Nick right along with Elena… however, if you are not a fan of romance it might put you off a little so hang in there the thrills are coming!

Told from the perspective of both Elena and Amelia(Nick’s deceased wife)… from alternating timelines of the past and present… not only do we get to see Elena struggle to survive in her abusive marriage and after… we also get to see that this is a pattern with Amelia’s story… Amelia was tremendously likable and relatable so her story really added a lot of weight to Elena’s struggles… as she was not quite as empathetic a character… not sure if this was done on purpose or not, but it was definitely impactful….

As the pieces to this puzzle were slowly revealed I became more and more connected to both of these women… as a warning to readers there is both verbal and physical abuse in this book and it is quite disturbing…. The book evoked quite a bit of emotion in me… I was frustrated, angry, sad, tents, and a little anxious…. I have to say the ending to this book although a bit predictable was absolutely perfect…

Absolutely recommend if you are in the mood for a dark domestic thriller with plenty of twists and turns….

Over My Shoulder by Patricia Dixon @pbadixon @Bloodhoundbook #BookReview

Happy Sunday book lovers!

Thrilled to be on the blog tour and share with you my review for this extremely compelling book! Many thanks to Sarah for my invitation and to Patricia Dixon for her dark story.🖤

Girl meets boy. They fall in love. Sounds simple? It isn’t.

When Freya falls for the manipulative Kane, her life changes beyond her wildest imagination. When the luxurious life she craves gradually becomes intolerable she realises escape is out of reach. Her life has changed and so has she.

She knows that when she least expects it, he will return and make good his promise to exact revenge and ensure she pays the price he fell he is owed.

Can Freya ever be free?

Whoever knew love could be so dangerous.

Following Freya from her carefree twenties up to the present day, Over My Shoulder is an intricate tale of blinkered love and obsession.

My Thoughts

This was a well done, compelling, and dark story… this is not a love story this is a survival story…. last couple weeks I have read three books that all dealt with domestic abuse and one way or another…. three very smart strong women getting involved with the wrong man… what I appreciated about all three of these books was the fact that they emphasize the fact that it could happen to anybody and it wasn’t as easy as just “leaving“…. as I mentioned in a previous review I was in an emotionally abusive relationship for many years and so all three of these books spoke to me on a very personal level… I appreciate that this topic has had more light shed on it recently. it will start dialogue, and it will make people realize that they should not blame the victim…. it is my hope that somebody in this situation reads one of these books and realizes that they are not alone and that there is light at the end of the tunnel….

Freya meats Cane and he seems like the perfect guy, but things aren’t always as they seem…. as in most situations like this the abuse and control slowly escalated until Freya found herself trapped in a very abusive relationship…. this book was tough to read and made me feel very uncomfortable at times… Freya was such a fighter so I was determined to fight my way through these pages…. I think the fact that the author made me feel everything right along with Freya definitely says something about her writing….

It’s hard to say that I enjoyed this book, but I am extremely glad I read it…. The characters were extremely well developed, some of them I liked, a lot of them I hated…. The pace of this book was perfect and the last three or four chapters were extremely intense…. I felt as though I was holding my breath….

Recommend when you are in the mood for a darker compelling story that touches on some very important issues….

She is currently writing her next book, a murderous tale set in the sixties and if she’s not at her desk Patricia loves to read historical fiction or attempts recipes that look great on television but not necessarily her plate. And when the penny jar is full she cashes in her coins and heads to France, the lure of red wine and escapism equalled only by the pursuance of her dream job, writing for a living.

In this extract from chapter 3 12 year old Leo and his little sister Ruby have fallen asleep in the barn where they are having a secret midnight feast following the visit of their mother’s cousin. Delia Murphy the Irish ambassador’s wife lives in Rome and she had come to warn that there are more Nazi crackdowns. Their mother in in the Resistance and also transmits messages for Monsignor Hugh O’Flaherty’s “Rome Escape Line” that rescues escaped Allied Prisoners of War, partisans and Jews. But she thinks they are safe because they live in a remote area.

The children are startled by the arrival of the local police who arrive in the middle of the night to arrest their mother. Leo creeps out to a nearby olive tree and concealed in the hollowed out trunk observes the arrest. Ruby has cerebral palsy and Leo knows he has to keep her out of the hands of the Nazis at all costs.

“Signora! We have come to search the house!” a local

policeman shouted out. It was Riccardo Two-Bellies as we

called him because he was so fat. He sounded almost

“I have nothing to hide!”

Two other police officers strode up, one of them

grabbing my mother roughly by the shoulder and pulling

her inside the house. My stomach went cold with fear. I

could tell from the racket inside that they were thrashing

the place.

I was frozen in the branches of the tree. I became a part

of the tree, too petrified to move. My legs wood, my arms

branches, my fingers spindly twigs. I don’t know for how

long. But after a time I heard crash, bash, boom! Them leaving

the house.

I dared to peep out. The police were on the path, pulling

my mother roughly behind them.

“Nothing,” they said. And again, “Nothing.”

Their chief glared at her, angry now. “Where are your

She said nothing. He shouted at her. And when again

she didn’t answer he smacked her across the face. I had to

bite my fist to stop crying out.

She spat out the words. “They are visiting Ruby’s

godmother in Naples.”

But she’d made a mistake. Delia lives in Rome, you

ninny mama! But that was wrong information she was

giving them. On purpose, I realised. I was such a gom.

I have nothing to hide!” she shouted again. “Where are you

taking me?

Ta-thrum, ta-thrum. My heart leapt in my chest when they

threw her into the back of the covered truck.

“The warrant for your arrest came from the Gestapo in

Rome,” said the police chief.

Oh no! The Nazi secret police wanted her. That was

really bad.

“Is it Regina Coeli prison?” she called out, wanting me

to hear, I was sure.

But there was no reply except for the crash of the truck

doors closing.

There was a loose pile of old stones by the grove, the

remains of an old wall. If I dropped down I could pick up a

stone and throw it. I was ready to do it, could almost feel its

heft in my hand. But there was a flutter by my left ear. A

mosquito. Its drone seemed to say “Ruby, Ruby!” Foolish, I

know. But, God’s honest truth, that’s what it said.

I had to get back to my sister and get the hell out of there.

I had to stop being part of the tree. But I had turned to wood

like Pinocchio. Then pins and needles shot up through my

leg. Fizzy foot, Ruby called it. I was a real boy.

I dropped quietly from the gnarled branches and

stumbled back to Ruby.

There she was, crouched under the loose straw littered

inside the barn, like a little animal burrowing into the earth.

I told her what had happened and she began to sob

gently. The tears glistened on her cheeks. I stroked her soft

russet hair and the teardrops fell without noise. Just the

heave of her breath and her hot tears running down her

Then the sound of heavy boots driving into the ground

came thundering towards the barn.

I picked Ruby up and ran out the little door at the side.

“The tree!” Ruby whispered.

I ran towards the old olive tree again. Inside its trunk

was hollow. I stepped in with Ruby and we crouched.

We stilled every nerve in our bodies and we were now

both made of wood. We could hear hot breath in the night,

panting. I saw it was the fat one – Riccardo Two-Bellies –

wheezing into the night. They must have sent him back to

do a check.

The sound of the barn door banging. Riccardo Two-

Bellies mustn’t have looked very hard. Asinello brayed as if

to warn us.

Thud, thud. The footsteps came closer! We were only a

few feet away from him.

A long pause. I almost stopped breathing. His torch

beam probed the darkness, the light raking the still air. I

was sure he had caught our scent like a bloodhound.

The seconds ticked by.

“Not here!” he called.

The sound of footsteps retreating. I didn’t dare raise my

The lorry pulled off. The roar of the engine driving

through the night was a rip in the world.

An Unconventional Affair Book 1 Email Indulgence by Mollie Blake @MollieBlake0 @rararesources #BookReview #Giveaway

Happy Saturday all!

Thrilled to be on the blog tour today for this intriguing book! Many thanks to Rachel for my invitation and to Mollie Blake for her steamy words😍

An Unconventional Affair

Tranquility “Tee” Hammond is head of a law firm. Having escaped a violent husband, with a son she was really too young to have had, her life revolved around her work. There was little time for anything else and she didn’t need anything else. When she was inclined to treat herself to a little sexual pleasure, she engaged the services of Email Indulgence—an exclusive club—one email for one night of sex with a man she didn’t know and didn’t need to care about again. For her, it was enough. But her life was about to be changed by a friend of Tee’s son at university, Barrington Stone, fifteen years her junior who is determined to woo her into an unconventional affair.

My Thoughts

Well now, the chemistry in this book seriously sizzled off the pages! This is a drama filled erotic book with a splash of suspense…. first of all I just need to mention the two main characters names in this book, we have Tranquility and Barrington… can I just say I absolutely looove these names! Don’t they have American soap opera written all over them???

Tranquility (Tee) A single mother has always been consumed with her work as a lawyer and with her son… when she had an itch that needed to be scratched she utilize an email service that facilitated no strings one night stands… and this service completely satisfied her until…. Barrington, a friend of her sons who he brings home from University…. Barrington is 15 years younger than Tee but…. he is persistent, charming, and HOT🔥

There was a lot I liked about the story and the chemistry between these two was undeniable… I also found both of these characters intriguing, engaging, and complicated…. however, I have a son in College and I cannot imagine him bringing a friend home and having any interest in him whatsoever…. so while I truly enjoyed this relationship I would’ve liked it much better had Barrington been let’s say five or more years older? It wasn’t the age gap it was just I personally would not be interested in one of my sons friends, but no judgment…. there is also a secondary plot line that I found quite intriguing it added an entirely different element to this book…. this book ends with a twist a cliffy and a to be continued…..

Recommend if you enjoy a steamy romance with intriguing characters and a dab of mystery….

He’s her patient. She’s his doctor. They shouldn’t. But God, do they want to.

Camden Harris, the famously hot, hulk of a footballer is laid up in a London hospital. But his busted knee doesn’t stop him from running his well-practiced game on Indie Porter—his redheaded spitfire of a doctor. She’s not his type, not even close. But she could be the perfect distraction from the soul-crushing damage this injury could cost him.

Indie’s tired of her naivety putting a target on her back. As a gifted child, she’s let her education take the front seat her whole life. But a fling with a footballer like Camden might be just what she needs to grab life by the balls.

And he could be the perfect guy for the plan she’s been sitting on for over two years.

But when feelings make a final play, there’s no amount of medicine that can heal the damage to their hearts.

I was really nervous about listening to this one because a FB group that i am in, the author and the narrator are always in there, and they are so lovely.
I was scared because it was duet narration and that is a little bit hit and miss for me, it just sounds a little bit weird and my head doesn’t like it, so i was so worried that i would hate it and have to leave a bad review.

Anyhoo, i had nothing to worry about as this story was fab, and the narration was WOOHOO!!!

Indie Porter is an up an coming surgeon and has a glittering future ahead of her, that is until she walks into the room holding Camden “cam” Harris, a famous football player for Bethnal Green.

Camden is sweet, charming and cocky and sends Indie into a tizz, she’s not sure what to do about the feelings that she has for Cam, does she go for it, or does she keep him at arms length?

I loved the family dynamics in his book, Cam’s family is really close knit and as Indie discovers have no secrets between each other, the complete opposite for her as she has missed out on a lot of experiences, and set her future in stone without any deviations.

🎧🎧 As i said earlier on i was a little nervous going in to this book because of the duet narration thing, but silly me i shouldn’t have worried, Will Watt and Charlotte Cole were fabulous together, and a little cameo from Martin Foster made this book a super fun listen.

Will Indie choose penis number 1, 2 or 3 from her Tequila Sunrise list?

You’ll have to spend a credit to find out !!

5 Spectacular Stars🌟 Rush by Lisa Patton @LisaPattonbooks #BookReview

TGIF book lovers!

Excited to share with you my review for this spectacularly southern story! Filled with heart and hope!💕

Rush by Lisa Patton

My Thoughts

5 Spectacularly Southern Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was a buddy read with one of my book Besties Mackenzie… she started before I did and said the book was reminiscent of “The Help“ and I’d have to agree…. both books have a very similar vibe and this is very high praise because “The Help” is one of my all-time favorite books…. A lot of this book focuses on the Greek system at Ole Miss…. by Greek system I mean social sororities and fraternities and buy Ole Mis I mean University of Mississippi… I myself was in a sorority when I was in college and both my older kids are currently in a Greek social organization at their universities…. I thought perhaps because of this tie in I liked the book more but my reading buddy Mackenzie Who is not Greek enjoyed it just as much as me! Because really whether you are Greek or not, southern or not, American or not, at its heart this book is about compassion, acceptance, change, family, and friendship….

This book was told from three alternating points of view… Cali A college freshman with a less than stellar pedigree but a heart of gold… Wilda A helicopter mother of a girl who is a freshman as well and Cali’s New BFF… Pearl the cleaning lady and in house “psychologist“ at the ΑΔΒ sorority house….

Pearl is very loved by all theΑΔ sisters… she is their mother away from home, and the girls probably tell her more than they would tell their actual mothers…. Pearl was a tremendously likable character, I seriously wanted a big hug from her and wish she had been part of my college experience…. this part of the story really focused on the change that is needed… and racial inequality as well as social inequality… it also was a very hopeful part of the story… I truly believe today’s youth are so much more accepting then previous generations and it gives me so much hope for our future…. The sorority girls actions in the story were a wonderful example of this….

The other part of the book was about sorority recruitment at a huge SEC school where it is pretty cutthroat…. Cali is not a legacy none of her relatives have ever been Greek… and from what I understand this is a huge deal in the south… living in California sorority/fraternity recruitment/Rush is an entirely different animal than in the south where it is the end-all and be-all of who you are during your college days… A lot of this is because the south is so steeped in tradition… this book really showed the ugly side of sorority rush and how dirty it can be… what house you get into is so important and sometimes it is more important to these girl’s mothers then it is to the girls themselves…. now some of the shenanigans and outcomes in this book I’m not sure could actually happen, but this is fiction… and the author went to the University of Alabama so she’d know better than me! how competitive sorority recruitment has become was really demonstrated well in this book…. but I absolutely loved Cali’s attitude she wasn’t concerned with getting into a “top“ house she just wanted a sisterhood to belong to… Cali was such a wonderful character sweet, smart, humble, compassionate, just the kind of girl you’d want your daughter to be friends with and you’d want your son to date… I enjoyed this part of the book it brought back memories and my daughter just went through sorority recruitment a couple years ago…. I also liked how it painted a different picture of sororities then a lot of other books, it focus more on the sisterhood and their philanthropic activities, rather than partying…. and I really think this book painted the Greek system in a positive light more than anything else…

This book really had so much heart, at its very core it was really about the bonds between females… young and old… rich and poor… sister or not… it was about growing and learning and changing and learning who you really are…. I fell in love with each and everyone of these characters and hated the book to end because I did not want to say goodbye…. this book will leave you with a smile on your face and hope in your heart!

Absolutely recommend when you are in the mood for an uplifting hopeful story filled with an amazing cast of characters you won’t soon forget!

Just thought I’d share that I am a ΖΤΑ and the mother of a ΚΚΓ and a ΒΘΠ

🌟 as I mentioned in my review this was a buddy read with Mackenzie I encourage you to check out her fabulous review! The girl has a way with words!

About the Book

Set in modern day Oxford, Mississippi, on the Ole Miss campus, bestselling author Lisa Patton’s RUSH is a story about women—from both ends of the social ladder—discovering their voices, courage and empowerment.

When Lilith Whitmore, the well-heeled House Corp President of Alpha Delta Beta, one of the premiere sororities on campus, appoints recent empty-nester Wilda to the Rush Advisory Board, Wilda can hardly believe her luck. What’s more, Lilith suggests their daughters, both incoming freshman, room together. What Wilda doesn’t know is that it’s all part of Lilith’s plan to ensure her own daughter receives an Alpha Delt bid—no matter what.

Cali Watkins possesses all the qualities sororities are looking for in a potential new member. She’s kind and intelligent, makes friends easily, even plans to someday run for governor. But her resume lacks a vital ingredient. Pedigree. Without family money Cali’s chances of sorority membership are already thin, but she has an even bigger problem. If anyone discovers the dark family secrets she’s hiding, she’ll be dropped from she’s hiding, she’ll be dropped from Rush in an instant.

For twenty-five years, Miss Pearl—as her “babies” like to call her—has been housekeeper and a second mother to the Alpha Delt girls, even though it reminds her of a painful part of her past she’ll never forget. When an opportunity for promotion arises, it seems a natural fit. But Lilith Whitmore slams her Prada heel down fast, crushing Miss Pearl’s hopes of a better future. When Wilda and the girls find out, they devise a plan destined to change Alpha Delta Beta—and maybe the entire Greek system—forever.

Achingly poignant, yet laugh-out-loud funny, RUSH takes a sharp nuanced look at a centuries-old tradition while exploring the complex, intimate relationships between mothers and daughters and female friends. Brimming with heart and hope for a better tomorrow, RUSH is an uplifting novel universal to us all. (less)

Unbreak My Heart

Unbreak My Heart by Lauren Blakely

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Broke my Heart Stars

I didn’t break her heart, and she didn’t break mine — we broke each other’s.

I never stopped loving her, but time and distance played its cruel role in ripping us apart three years ago when she moved halfway around the world. Now after all those endless miles away, she’s returned . . . but I’m not the guy I was before.

Beautiful, kind, and loving, she’s the same — my hope. The only one who can make a day better, who can make me feel again with one kiss, one touch, one night.

There’s so much I have to put back in place now that I’m alone and on my own. Things I never wanted at the age of twenty-five. When I receive an unexpected letter that might hold the clues to everything I desperately need to understand about my family, I’m sure I have to follow it. But that means leaving her once more.

She says she’ll come with me, and having her by my side will unbreak my heart . . . or destroy it.

That’s the chance I have to take.

Well this one certainly had me bawling, Lauren Blakely is certainly the queen of the RomCom but this one is a little different to her usual jolly stories.

This is a second chance romance, which is one of my favourite types, and this one has moved into my most favourite spot!

Andrew is trying to come to terms with the death of his brother, and we see (and hear) the pain of his grief and heartache.

Holland is an old flame of Andrew’s and has always loved him, but timing, jobs, and life got in the way, so they stayed friends.

Holland moved away for work and lived in Tokyo where Andrew’s brother spent his last days.

After Andrew finds something that makes him question his brother, he decides to go and find out the answers for himself and travels to Tokyo, taking Holland with him.

I loved Holland, she was a strong independent woman, who put love on the back burner to follow her dreams of being a nurse, Andrew however was stuck in a limbo of grief and hatred, followed by using emotional blackmail to get his own way and use people, unfortunately (or fortunately for him) Holland doesn’t take any of his sh*t, and gives him just as good back.

Once again Lauren Blakely manages to encapsulate the sights and feels of a place, i have never travelled to Tokyo, but her words made me feel like i was there, and i could close my eyes and picture everything perfectly.

🎧🎧 Outstanding narration by two of my favourites Joe Arden and Erin Mallon who were just fantastic together!

You could physically feel Andrew’s pain, and the performance given by Joe Arden on this one is amazing, he WAS Andrew in my head, and the fact that you could hear his voice cracking when he was talking about his dead brother made me tear up more than once.

Erin Mallon once again gives a brilliant performance and they both bounce off of each other seamlessly.

You may need Kleenex for this one, but it is sooo worth it, definitely save a credit and don’t miss out on this one!

Signs in the Rearview Mirror by Kelly Smith @kellys_author @rararesources #BookReview

Happy Thursday Book people!

I am excited to share with you today my review for this book that I think is a very important, real, and inspirational read! Many thanks to Rachel for my invitation to the blog tour and to Kelly Smith for her story!💕

Signs in the Rearview MirrorSigns in the Rearview Mirror: Leaving A Toxic Relationship Behind

What kind of person ends up in a toxic relationship? And why does she stay? This searingly honest novel answers both those questions head-on. Coming out of a failing marriage, Kelly turns to Gabe out of fear of being alone. Her gradual slide into danger is at once terrifying and inevitable, and the steps she takes to get out of it will both inspire and offer hope.

My Thoughts

This was a raw and real look into toxic relationships… what I truly appreciated about this book was that the victim of abuse in this book was a strong smart woman… abuse does not discriminate and unfortunately I think a lot of times the victims are portrayed as frail weak women… how many times have you heard “why doesn’t she just leave“ or “I’ve never let anybody treat me that way.“ well, as somebody who has been in an extremely toxic relationship with a narcissistic abusive man I can tell you it is not that easy….. especially when the abuse is verbal and emotional, because the bruises are on the inside… when I look back now I realize how much I put up with and believe me I put up with it for very long time, however at the time I was just trying as hard as I could to keep my family together…. I realize this is a lot to share in a review, but this book was so real and Kelly really laid herself bare, so I felt this was only fair……..

In this book Kelly has recently separated from her husband… she reconnects with a high school friend Gabe on Facebook…. Kelly and Gabe begin a romantic relationship, he seems perfect, but all is not as it seems…. but Kelly is invested and excited about her new love…. and above all she does not want to be alone, the very thought terrifies her….

This is an extremely emotional and realistic look at a toxic relationship…. how Kelly got into it…. why Kelly stayed in it…. and how she eventually got out of it… whether or not you have ever been in an abusive relationship this book really paints an honest picture of the cycle of abuse… I’d encourage everyone to read this one because after reading this you will never blame the victim again… both inspirational and heartbreaking but most of all truthful….
