The Current by Tim Johnston @TJohnstonWriter @AlgonquinBooks #bookreview #audiobook #thecurrent

Happy Sunday bibliophiles!

Excited to share with you today my review for this wonderful audiobook, a mystery Full of tension and emotion!💜

  • The Current

  • A Novel
  • By: Tim Johnston
  • Narrated by: Sarah Mollo-Christensen
  • Length: 14 hrs and 27 mins
  • Unabridged Audiobook
  • Release date: 01-22-19

My Thoughts

An atmospheric story alive with tension and emotion!

Tim Johnston has written a book that I not only Red but I felt. I felt the tension in my head, I felt the emotion in my heart, and I felt the cold in my bones. There was something so real and raw about this story. It is one of those books that will stick with you long after you turn the last page!

Audrey and Caroline are driving from their southern college to Audreys home in northern Minnesota. Audrey is going home to see her father who is fighting cancer. As they approach audrey’s hometown they make a choice that will change everything… A bathroom break, an assault, an icy road, a narrow bridge, and the girls plummet into the icy river. Two girls go in, one comes out alive, and the other one is missing… but this was no accident. This tragedy dredges up a similar tragedy that happened 10 years ago… a different girl, but the same River. Audrey’s father who was sheriff at the time, headed up the investigation, but is there a connection to this current tragedy? Audrey is devastated, not only dealing with the loss of her friend, but her father’s disease. Consumed with guilt and grief Audrey investigates the past in order to come to terms with the present.

This was a taut tense psychological crime thriller, that you will not be able to put down. I was riveted by every word in this book and drawn to every character. There is something so vulnerable about Audrey, yet she was so strong and smart, i really found myself rooting for her. The rest of the characters were equally compelling, there was something so true about each and every one of them. The mystery was brilliantly crafted full of twists and misdirection. I enjoyed every minute I spend with Audrey trying to figure out what happened 10 years ago, and if it was somehow related to her own tragedy.

An absorbing thriller full of guilt, grief, tension, miss direction, and emotion! Absolutely recommend!

🎧🎧🎧 this audiobook was narrated by Sarah Mollo-Christiensen and she did a stellar job! This is the first book I have listened to that she narrated and she really brought these characters to life.

Song Running Through My Mind

Time, time time, see what’s become of me
While I looked around for my possibilities
I was so hard to please
Don’t look around
The leaves are brown
And the sky is a hazy shade of winter
Hear the Salvation Army band
Down by the riverside’s, there’s bound to be a better ride
Than what you’ve got planned
Carry your cup in your hand
And look around
Leaves are brown, now
And the sky is a hazy shade of winter
Hang on to your hopes, my friend
That’s an easy thing to say
But if your hopes should pass away
Simply pretend that you can build them again
Look around
The grass is high
The fields are ripe
It’s the springtime of my life
Seasons change with the scenery
Weaving time in a tapestry
Won’t you stop and remember me
At any convenient time?

About the Book

In the dead of winter, outside a small Minnesota town, state troopers pull two young women and their car from the icy Black Root River. One is found downriver, drowned, while the other is found at the scene – half-frozen but alive.
What happened was no accident, and news of the crime awakens the community’s memories of another young woman who lost her life in the same river 10 years earlier and whose killer may still live among them.
Determined to find answers, the surviving young woman soon realizes she’s connected to the earlier unsolved case by more than just a river, and the deeper she plunges into her own investigation, the closer she comes to dangerous truths and to the violence that simmers just below the surface of her hometown.
Grief, suspicion, the innocent, and the guilty – all stir to life in this cold Northern town where a young woman can come home but still not be safe.
Brilliantly plotted and unrelentingly propulsive,
The Current is a beautifully realized story about the fragility of life, the power of the past, and the need, always, to fight back.

The Beast’s Heart by Leife Shallcross @leioss @BerkleyPub #bookbestiesbeastheart #bookreview #thebeastsheart

TGIF! I am so ready for the weekend!

Super excited to share with you today my review for this magical tale, a beautiful retelling of Beauty and the Beast🌹

This was a fun group read with Jennifer and Kenzi, as always I enjoyed sharing my thoughts with these wonderful ladies!💕

My Thoughts

A magical tale as old as time.

This was an enchanting retelling of Beauty and the Beast, told from the Beast’s perspective…. my only true knowledge of this story is from Disney and from that movie I had a bit of a soft spot for Beast… so I was really excited when I heard this book was going to tell us the story from his point of view… and this book did not disappoint… although I do have to admit because this book had a bit of a young adult vibe the Beast wasn’t quite as alpha as I would have liked… A magical story, lyrically told, that really gave me a real fairytale vibe… The writing was a bit old-fashioned and really gave you a sense of being right there with Beast and Isabeau… this was something that actually threw me off, not being right there with them, but the fact that the main female protagonist was not named Bell but Isabeau… not going to lie it took me a good while to figure out she was the correct love interest, I kept waiting for Bell to show up! Once I got over that I really got into the story and fell in love with this beautiful castle and the adorable Beast…

I am sure most of you are very familiar with this plot so I’m not going to regurgitate it… One thing I think you need to know before you pick it up though it is very heavy on the romance, a very clean romance, but romance all the same… Beast was one determined and relentless man and I have to say I am not sure if Isabeau was worthy of his love? It could possibly be that women were much more reserved in 17th century France then they are today,Isabeau just seemed a little cold… but I really did like her family her father and her sisters, and I like that Beast could glimpse them in that magical mirror…

A beautifully told story Full of heart and charm! Recommend🌹

🎵🎵🎵 Song Running Through My Head

Tale as old as time
True as it can be
Barely even friends
Then somebody bends
Unexpectedly
Just a little change
Small to say the least
Both a little scared
Neither one prepared
Beauty and the beast
Ever just the same
Ever a surprise
Ever as before and ever just as sure as the sun will rise
Ever just the same
Ever a surprise
Ever as before
Ever just as sure
As the sun will rise
Tale as old as time
Tune as old as song
Bittersweet and strange
Finding you can change
Learning you were wrong
Certain as the sun
Certain as the sun
Rising in the east
Tale as old as time
Song as old as rhyme
Beauty and the beast…

*** huge thank you to Berkley for my copy of this book ***

About the Book

A luxuriously magical retelling of Beauty and the Beast set in seventeenth-century France–and told from the point of view of the Beast himself.

I am neither monster nor man—yet I am both.

I am the Beast.

He is a broken, wild thing, his heart’s nature exposed by his beastly form. Long ago cursed with a wretched existence, the Beast prowls the dusty hallways of his ruined château with only magical, unseen servants to keep him company—until a weary traveler disturbs his isolation.

Bewitched by the man’s dreams of his beautiful daughter, the Beast devises a plan to lure her to the château. There, Isabeau courageously exchanges her father’s life for her own and agrees to remain with the Beast for a year. But even as their time together weaves its own spell, the Beast finds winning Isabeau’s love is only the first impossible step in breaking free from the curse . . .

Husbands and Other Sharp Objects by Marilyn Simon Rothstein @suzyapbooktours @NounsandVerbs1 #bookreview #husbandsandothersharpobjects

Happy Friday book people!

Super excited to share this review with you! This book was straight up hilarious! I love humor in my books and this book was packed full of it! A huge thank you too Suzy for my invitation to this delightful tour!🌹

My Thoughts

A hilarious story full of humor and heart!

This book was just straight up fun! A fun heart warming story guaranteed to make you laugh out loud! All families are dysfunctional, some families are more dysfunctional than others… I loved how this book just laid everything out there on the table…. it reminded me of those days when everything is going wrong so you just have to laugh!

Marcy was a fabulous character who I have a lot in common with… I am divorced, have three kids, and have two close friends that help me get through it all! What I don’t have is a John, although I don’t think I’m ready for that, but he was a really nice guy! So this is the second book featuring Marcy, in the first book her husband cheats on her and she kicks him to the curb, however it can absolutely be read as a standalone… in this book marcy, has moved on… her new boyfriend John wants to take their relationship to a more serious level, her soon to be ex cheating husband Harvey wants her back, and her daughter Amanda is getting married… I love the juxtaposition of the wedding and the divorce… I also love how this book accurately portrayed how insane people can act when planning a wedding…

This book was crammed full of little gems this was my absolute favorite is bread still considered white after it has been toasted? that line still makes me chuckle! Just a wonderful book all about life, love, family, good times, bad times, something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue… marcy is just a tremendously relatable character she could be you, she could be your mom, your sister, your BFF, she is someone you are glad you got to spend some time with!

A story that reminds you no matter how messy life gets never lose sight of your sense of humor! recommend!

*** many thanks to Lake Union for my copy of this book ***

Author Bio

Rachel J Bonner is the author of the four book Choices and Consequences series, the first of which, Strand of Faith, is due out in November 2018.

Getting a degree in engineering, followed by a career in accountancy is probably not a conventional path to becoming an author, particularly in paranormal romance. Rachel says that, although accountancy isn’t anything like as boring as everyone thinks, writing is a lot more fun. When not writing, she can be found walking in the beautiful countryside near where she lives, which has influenced much of the scenery in her books, or shooting things with her local archery club. Target shooting only, honest. Nothing to worry about.

She also enjoys swimming, eating chocolate chip cookies and growing aromatic herbs, especially thyme and rosemary. It’s no coincidence that her heroine likes the same things.

Finding Grace by K. L. Slater @KimLSlater @bookouture #bookreview #findinggrace

Happy Friday bibliophiles!

So excited to share with you my review for this compelling thriller from one of my favorite authors! Huge thank you to Kim Nash for my invitation to the tour and to Kim Slater for her wonderful story!🌹

My Thoughts

and engaging thriller bursting with twists, secrets, lies, and questions!

This was so much more than a missing child story… although that part of the story will really make you think if you are a parent… when do you let your child walk somewhere on their own, whether it be school or a friends house? The little girl Grace in this story is nine and is begging her parents to allow her to walk from their house to her friends house down the street… I was really thinking about this when did I allow my children to walk somewhere on their own? My oldest two kids a boy and a girl are only 13 months apart so it was usually the two of them and I think I was more comfortable with them walking together… but I had a hard time letting my daughter walk alone even when she was 14, however I probably let her go up the street to her friends? Just last night my youngest who is now 16 asked me if he could walk to the gas station to purchase chips and it was dark out and I really did not want him to go, of course he told me that I let his older brother who is 22 go, also my 22-year-old doesn’t live at home anymore… anyways I even struggled with this last night and my kids are pretty grown…. i’m sure you all wanted to know this😉 anyways all this is to say it is hard to let go and give your children the freedom that they need to become capable responsible adults… BUT can you imagine if the first time you allowed your child to walk alone they were snatched? Welcome to Lucy and Blake’s world….

Blake is a councilman, Lucy is a stay at home mom, they live a nice comfortable life with their two adorable children Grace and baby Oscar… then one day they allow nine-year-old Grace to walk home alone from a friends and their lives are changed forever… as the investigation begins into the who? Why? How? The layers start peeling away from Blake and Lucy‘s so-called perfect lives… both these characters were hiding quite a few things from one another, so many secrets, so many lies, so many suspects….

K L Slater is truly a masterful storyteller! This book was paced perfectly, we kept being fed breadcrumbs of information… just enough to satisfy me and make me wanting more… I really enjoyed how the secrets were revealed, I liked trying to figure out what was going on… another well-crafted thriller from a brilliant author!

A compelling thriller that will mess with your head and make you think what would I have done? Twists, turns, secrets, lies, and a bit of a Darkside! Recommend!

🎵🎵🎵 Song Running Through My Head

I have a tale to tell
Sometimes it gets so hard to hide it well
I was not ready for the fall
Too blind to see the writing on the wall
A man can tell a thousand lies
I’ve learned my lesson well
Hope I live to tell
The secret I have learned, ’till then
It will burn inside of me
I know where beauty lives
I’ve seen it once, I know the warm she gives
The light that you could never see
It shines inside, you can’t take that from me
A man can tell a thousand lies
I’ve learned my lesson well
Hope I live to tell
The secret I have learned, ’till then
It will burn inside of me
The truth is never far behind
You kept it hidden well
If I live to tell
The secret I knew then
Will I ever have the chance again
If I ran away, I’d never have the strength
To go very far
How would…

About the Book

This morning, my daughter sat right here, munching her breakfast, too excited to finish it. Now, she is missing.

The day after her ninth birthday, Lucie and Blake Sullivan agree, for the very first time, to let their daughter, Grace, make the four-minute walk back home alone from a friend’s house just down the street.

They joke with friends about hiding behind bushes to ensure she is safe. But the joke turns sour when Grace does not appear.

Despite the best efforts of the police and local community, Grace seems to have vanished into thin air. With hope fading fast, Lucie knows she can rely on her husband to support her through such dark times. That is until the day she makes a shocking discovery, hidden in Blake’s desk, and suddenly she begins to doubt everything she knew about the man she married.

But Lucie harbours a terrible secret of her own. One that she has never shared with anyone, even Blake …

And as the search for Grace reaches fever pitch, Lucie receives a terrifying message. If she is ever to see Grace again, Lucie has no choice but to face the past she tried hard to bury forever. And she must do it alone.

The most gripping psychological thriller you’ll read this year from the bestselling author K.L. Slater. If you love The Wife Between Us or Gone Girl, you’ll be totally hooked on Finding Grace.

An Impossible Thing Called Love

Don’t miss the new delightfully uplifting book from the author of A Recipe for Disaster!

A second chance at love…

So she’s shocked when William walks in on her very first day at her new job! Even worse, he’s hotter than ever. But why did he disappear for so long? What has he been hiding? And could this really be their second chance at falling in love…?

Perfect for fans of Carole Mathews, Mhairi McFarlane and Carrie Hope Fletcher.

Belinda Missen dreams up romantic stories that are bursting with everything I love about the genre… wonderful characters, witty dialogue, beautiful settings, strong friendships, and humor… it is the month of love and this is the perfect story to sweep you off your feet and take you away for a few hours…

Emmy and Will meet while on vacation… their connection is strong, but can it withstand the test of thousands of Miles? At first they remain in contact email, text, all the means of communication we have available to us today… but when communication stops Emmy is heartbroken… some Time goes by and she finds herself moving to London for a new job… where…. guess who she runs into? SO will Emmy and Will get a second chance at love?

such a fun flirty feel good story filled with humor and heart… Emmy and Will are both very likable, quite adorable together, and I really enjoyed the banter between them… this is the type of story that makes you want to believe in love and happily ever after…

Russian Roulette by Keith Nixon @knntom @BOTBSPublicity #bookreview

Happy Day of love!

Excited to share with you my review for this book perfect for your Valentine’s reading! (Or maybe not) well I suppose it all depends on how you feel about love and hearts and all that good stuff! This is a dark and gritty story that will appeal to your darker side! Many thanks to Sarah for my invitation to the tour!🖤

My Thoughts

A dark gritty crime thriller full of quirky characters!

This is the first book in the Constantine series… this book is just shy of 200 pages, but let me tell you there is a lot packed into this little book! Danger deceit and a dominatrix just to name a few… The story might be a little gritty but the characters are so quirky, it really made for a wonderful balance…

Constantine is XKGB and he just can’t seem to quell The investigator in him… Constantine also seems to surround himself with a cast of eccentric characters… Plastic Fantastic and Fat Gary just to name a few….

Had anyone told me I enjoy a story about a burly Russian and a dominatrix I would’ve told them they were crazy, and I would’ve been wrong! This book really caught me by surprise it was an engaging and captivating read with characters I truly adored! Recommend!

About the Book

A reluctant investigator, a sordid English seaside town, a criminal underbelly.

Trouble has a habit of seeking out Konstantin, whether he wants it or not. Starting from the moment he arrives in the seedy seaside town of Margate where he’s supposed to be in hiding from his ex-employers. All Konstantin wants is to keep his head down and be left alone. But it’s not to be. People have their problems and Konstantin can’t help but get involved.

Konstantin has to overcome the drug dealer, the loan shark and a Liverpudlian gangster. Then there’s the so-called good guys, the councilors and lawyers who are worse than the criminals. Enter Fidelity Brown, aka Plastic Fantastic, a dominatrix who has her own mélange of secrets and lies, and nightclub owner Ken who’s connected to all the wrong people. Both help Konstantin solve the cases dropped on his doorstep.

Cue deception, murder, mayhem as the Russian settles into his new life. Margate will never be the same again. And neither will Konstantin…

Meet the enigmatic Konstantin, a man with a dark history and darker future in the start of a unique crime thriller series laced with a healthy dose of black humour. Pick up Russian Roulette to find out what all the fuss is about.

Gap Years by Dave Holwill @daveholwill @rararesources #bookreview #gapyears

Hope you are having a wonderful day!

We are supposed to have a huge rainstorm tomorrow in Southern California, they are referring to it as an atmospheric river, not sure what that is, but I can let you know tomorrow! It is a perfect excuse to stay in all day and make a day of reading and blogging out of it, Californians cannot drive in the rain! alright enough about that! Excited to share with you my review for this little gem! A huge thank you to Rachel for my invitation to the tour and two Dave Holwill for his wise words!😃

Gap Years

19 year old Sean hasn’t seen his father since he was twelve. His mother has never really explained why. An argument with her leads to his moving to the other side of the country.

Martin, his father, has his life thrown into turmoil when the son he hasn’t seen in nearly eight years strolls back into his life immediately killing his dog and hospitalising his step-daughter.

The one thing they have in common is the friendship of a girl called Rhiannon.

Over the course of one summer Sean experiences sexual awakenings from all angles, discovers the fleeting nature of friendship and learns to cope with rejection.

Martin, meanwhile, struggles to reconnect with Sean while trying to delicately turn down the increasingly inappropriate advances of a girl he sees as a surrogate daughter and keep a struggling marriage alive.

Gap Years is an exploration of what it means to be a man in the 21st Century seen from two very different perspectives – neatly hidden inside a funny story about bicycles, guitars and unrequited love.

My Thoughts

An honest and entertaining look at a dysfunctional father/son relationship.

Dave Holwill’s previous book The “The Craftroom” was full of dark humor and quirky characters… I was expecting the same thing with this book, but while this book still has quite a bit of humor it is a little more serious in tone… I was surprised and I’d have to say pleasantly so….

this story is about a father and son who have been estranged for over eight years trying to find their way back to one another…Shauns mother Tonya did what she could to keep Sean away from his father… but when they have a huge disagreement about Sean going to University, Sean up and leaves and goes to live with his father… Martin has not seen his son in over eight years, he’s not quite sure how to repair this relationship… he is remarried to Allison and has a lovely daughter he adores with all his heart…. Will father and son ever find a bond between them?

The story was told from both Martin and Sean’s perspectives… I found this incredibly impactful it really let you see both sides of the story throughout the book… The book starts off with a crash quite literally… there was also a girl who almost put a permanent wedge between father and son… she really was a despicable character, super manipulative, I imagine we were meant to dislike her? I did however really like all the rest of the characters I liked Sean and I really wanted him to find his way in the world, I liked Martin and his new wife Allison, they really did have a very strong relationship…

A well-crafted story about discovering who you are and where you belong and where you’re headed to next, recommend!

Dave Holwill was born in Guildford in 1977 and quickly decided that he preferred the Westcountry – moving to Devon in 1983 (with some input from his parents).
After an expensive (and possibly wasted) education there, he has worked variously as a postman, a framer, and a print department manager (though if you are the only person in the department then can you really be called a manager?) all whilst continuing to play in every kind of band imaginable on most instruments you can think of.
Gap Years is his third novel – following on the heels of Weekend Rockstars and The Craft Room, and he is currently working on the fourth (a folk horror set in his native mid-Devon) and a sequel to Weekend Rockstars.

Sorry Not Sorry by Sophie Ranald @SophieRanald @bookouture #bookreview #sorrynotsorry

Happy hump day everyone!

Exes excited to share with you today my review for this fun story! Major thanks to Noelle for my invitation and to Sophie Ranald for her wonderful story!🌹

My Thoughts

A fun entertaining story that will make you giggle!

This was a playful story with an unique angle… as a podcast listener(although most of my podcasts are about serial killers) I really enjoyed how this media was used in the story… a quirky story about taking yourself out of your comfort zone and finding your inner bad girl….

Charlotte is a workaholic about to lose her flatmate and friend to marriage… when she realizes she doesn’t do much more than work day in and day out she starts listening to the popular “Sorry Not Sorry” podcast… this podcast assigns you tasks that will help you find your inner bad girl…. going to be honest some of these things I don’t believe would make you a “bad girl,” but it might take you out of your comfort zone…. but bad girl or not I think it made for a wonderful story and helped Charlotte… there is quite a bit more to the story and some characters actions I didn’t necessarily agree with, but I don’t want to spoil anything…

Charlotte was a pretty sympathetic character, I really felt for her, she really had a lot on her plate… A super demanding job, planning a wedding for her BFF, and looking for the elusive perfect man… I have to admit though I did not always find Charlotte terribly relatable… The secondary characters were wonderful I would love to read a book about Tanzie, she is a girl I can get behind! I also loved Bianka, got to love a character it is fun to hate! And boy was it fun to hate her! It is so true that as our friends begin to get married and have children we tend to lose touch or become closer to those that are at the same stage in life as we are…. I was the second in my friend group to have kids so I guess I was the one to lose touch, but believe me there was many a Friday night I wish I was out with the girls rather than changing diapers… The grass certainly is always greener on the other side of that marriage fence….

An engaging story that will make you want to find your inner bad girl and start listening to podcasts! Recommend!

Bad girls
Talking about the sad girls
Sad girls
Talking about bad girls, yeah
See them out on the street at night (walkin’)
Picking up on all kinds of strangers
If the price is right
You can’t score if you’re pocket’s tight
But you want a good time
You ask yourself who they are
Like everybody else, they come from near and far
Talking about the sad girls (sad girls)
Sad girls (sad girls)
Talking about bad girls, yeah
Friday night, and the strip is hot
Sun’s gone down, and they’re out to trot (out to trot)
Spirit’s high, and legs look hot
Do you wanna get down?
Now, don’t you ask yourself who they are?
Like everybody else, they wanna be a star
Bad girl, sad girl
You’re such a naughty bad girl, bee-beep uh huh
You’re bad girl, you’re sad girl
You’re such…

About the Book

A fabulously feel-good novel that will make you laugh till you cry and leave you living life to the full, margarita in hand!

Is this all there is? I scraped the last dregs of Caramel Chew Chew ice cream out of the bottom of the tub with my finger and licked it. It left a sticky smear on my phone’s screen when I typed into Google, “How to find love, sex and happiness.”

Charlotte has always been a good girl. But being good is getting boring…

She’s not just stuck in a rut – she’s buried in it up to her chin. The only company she has in bed is the back catalogue of Netflix and falling in love feels like the stuff of fairy tales. So when she stumbles across a popular podcast, ‘Sorry Not Sorry’, which challenges women to embrace their inner bad girl, she jumps at the chance to shake things up.

Old Charlotte would never ask for a stranger’s number, go on a blind date or buy lacy lingerie… But New Charlotte is waving goodbye to her comfort zone (with a side order of margaritas). And it turns out that good things happen to bad girls…

If you’re a fan of romantic comedies by Sophie Kinsella, Lindsey Kelk or Matt Dunn, and love TV shows like GirlsCrazy Ex-Girlfriend and Jane the Virgin, you won’t be able to put down this hilarious read!

About the Author

Sophie Ranald is the youngest of five sisters. She was born in Zimbabwe and lived in South Africa until an acute case of itchy feet brought her to London in her mid-20s. As an editor for a customer publishing agency, Sophie developed her fiction-writing skills describing holidays to places she’d never visited. In 2011, she decided to disregard all the good advice given to aspiring novelists and attempt to write full-time. After one false start, It Would Be Wrong to Steal My Sister’s Boyfriend (Wouldn’t It?) seemed to write itself. Her second, third and fourth novels followed, and The Truth About Gemma Grey was released in summer 2017. Sophie also writes for magazines and online about food, fashion, finance and running. She lives in south-east London with her amazing partner Hopi and Purrs, their adorable little cat.

While my Eyes Were Closed by Linda Green @LindaGreenisms @audibleuk #Thriller #Mystery #Fiction #AudiobookReview

I am so pleased to bring you my review of this heart-stopping read, I was so sucked into this story, that I don’t think that I took a breath.

My Thoughts

Oh my goodness, this is every mothers nightmare!

Imagine you take your little girl to the park to play, she is only 4 years old, and her favourite thing to do while you are there is to play Hide-and-Seek.

You are the person hiding, and she soon finds you, but she wants “one more go” so that she gets to hide too.

“Just one more go Mummy, don’t forget to count to 100, and make sure you close your eyes!”

One…

Two….

….

…..

One Hundred………………………………..

Only… you can’t find her, even when you shout that she is the winner….

And all of your nightmares come true!

This book made me hold my breath for a lot of it as I know that feeling, you know that feeling when you turn around and they are not there, only to breathe out the big sigh of relief when they appear around the corner, but what happens when they don’t?

Switching between the mothers story, and the point of view of the abductor, this cleverly written story had me on the edge of my seat for the whole time.

🎧🎧 – Fabulously narrated by Emma Gregory, Maggie Mash and Gareth Bennett-Ryan who all did an excellent job. I got this in the Audible sale, but it is well worth spending a credit on.

Have a great week
