Where in the world did November go? This is such a sweet steamy and suspenseful romance, that any romance lover will love!❤️
This was such a sweet, steamy, and suspenseful story. This is the third book in the series and works well as a standalone, however I wish I had read the previous books prior. Family plays such an important part in this book and I would have really appreciated really understanding and knowing the brothers in this book a little better. The book kicks off with Charlotte having car trouble and Mitch helping a girl out. There is a connection between the two when they meet, but it is complicated. Charlotte has been living with a family that treats her like their own, and Mitch has come to town looking to meet his half brothers technically making him part of this family. A tricky relationship to navigate. Also Midge has a bit of a past that seems to be catching up with him. A definite slow build will they? Won’t they?
I have to say the family in this story was fantastic my favorite part of the book. Loved this family, the mom was amazing and I loved how much all of these brothers cared for one another. They accepted Mitch so willingly and protected Charlotte so fiercely. Although occasionally they frustrated me with how much they were protecting Charlotte from Midge, but I understood. My only tiny complaint is the suspense in the story didn’t necessarily add much to the book. I would’ve probably liked more family time and more time with Charlotte and Midge together. All in all a sweet romance that made me smile.

About the Book
He’s tantalizing trouble she can’t resist….
Charlotte Parrish has always wanted a certain kind of man: someone responsible, settled, boring. Bad boys need not apply. But when her car leaves her stranded and a mysterious stranger with brooding eyes and a protective streak comes to her rescue, she can’t deny how drawn she is to him. In town searching for family he’s never met, Mitch is everything she never thought she wanted – and suddenly everything she craves.
Finding his half-brothers after all these years is more than Mitch Crews has allowed himself to wish for. Finding love never even crossed his mind…until he meets Charlotte. She’s sweet, warmhearted, sexier than she knows – and too damn good for an ex-con like him. But when his past comes back to haunt him, putting Charlotte – and the family he’s come to care for – in danger, Mitch isn’t playing by the rules. He’s already surrendered his heart, but now he’ll risk his life.

Happy Black Friday!
Are you out shopping today? Or are you home reading? I might do a little shopping online, but I like to avoid the craziness! I like my crazy to be in my books! This book would definitely fall into that category!
Margot Hunt has done it again! A book full of twisted unlikable characters behaving badly? Yes please! I was completely invested, intrigued, and entertain from first page to last. The book starts with a bang, the murder of Gwen a housewife living in an upscale Florida neighborhood. The story is then told from the perspectives of Gwen, her daughter Abby, and the woman her husband is having an affair with Nora. None of these women were tremendously likable, but I glimpsed a piece of myself in each of them. Such a wild and addictive ride, I was all in trying to figure out who killed Gwen, and why?
As I mentioned none of these characters were tremendously likable, but Gwen? Wow! What a piece of work! Seriously by the end of this book I could’ve killed her myself, and I certainly didn’t blame anyone for doing it! Nora was probably the character I related to the most, I do understand what it’s like to have an alcoholic husband, but that doesn’t give you permission to cheat. Just could not understand why she just had not left him, because clearly she was not happy in her marriage. Then there was daughter Abby. Abby was heartbroken, her boyfriend cheated on her with her best friend, and she has now returned home and dropped out of college because of it. I think I would have lost it completely if my daughter came home having dropped out of college because of a boy! Abby definitely embraced her new role as the woman scorned, she was out for revenge in whatever form that might take. There were so many other possible suspects including Gwen’s husband Josh, can anyone possibly be that good? The ending was surprising and I’m still not sure if I liked it or not? Another absorbing domestic thriller from one of my favorite authors!
🎧🎧🎧 The audiobook is narrated by Vivienne Lehany. She did an amazing job of giving each of the narrators in this book their own unique voice. I was never lost and I always knew who is narrating the story.

About the Book
Love may be blind, but obsession’s a real killer.
Nora Holliday is not that kind of woman. Not the kind who has an illicit affair with a married man. But Josh Landon is everything Nora’s alcoholic husband isn’t. And now she and Josh are so infatuated, they can’t stay away from one another.
Abby Landon, Josh’s daughter, is home from college nursing a broken heart. She’s seeking solace, not more scandal, so when she catches her dad kissing Nora, she vows to take the homewrecker down.
And as for Abby’s mother and Josh’s wife, Gwen? To anyone on the outside looking in, the mother of two appears to be living the ideal suburban life.
Until she winds up dead.
The serene seaside town of Shoreham has always been the perfect place to raise a family – not somewhere housewives are brutally murdered. So who killed Gwen Landon, and how many twisted secrets will be exposed as the vindictive plot comes undone?

Happy Monday all!
Don’t you love when you pick up a book and it is so much better than you were anticipating! That was me with this one. Dystopians can be a real hit or miss with me and this one was a definite HIT!

Kelly de Vos has written a fast paced, action packed, compelling dystopian thriller. It is sometime in the future and Susan better known as Jinx is walking home from school with her siblings, Charles and Makenna. When they stop at a local market to pick up some snacks on the way home all heck breaks loose. The adjacent imposing Bank building is blowing up and the kids are in the path of the destruction. Fortunately Jinx was raised by a doomsday survivalist, so she knows just what to do. What follows is a thrilling game of cat and mouse filled with action, suspense, secrets, and lies. The story is tense and riveting with some political overtones. The book was definitely a little far-fetched at some points, but this did not bother me in the least. My heart was pounding, my palms were sweating, I was all in!
A book like this with teenagers saving the world can go terribly wrong,, but fortunately this book was an exceptional gem. The main reason for this I think was the characters, they were also well developed and authentic. Jinx was a typical teenager with all the insecurities and angst that go along with it. She just knew how to hack a computer, handle a gun, and survive on next to nothing. Makenna her stepsister was her perfect counterbalance, I thought these two had such a realistic typical relationship. Little brother Charles stole the show, he was so adorable and his love of plants was endearing. I appreciate it that the adults were involved in the story, but very rarely overshadowed the teens. The story ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, but nothing too major. However I am definitely eagerly awaiting the next book in this duology!

About the Book
If you’re going through hell…keep going.
Seventeen-year-old coder Jinx Marshall grew up spending weekends drilling with her paranoid dad for a doomsday she’s sure will never come. She’s an expert on self-heating meal rations, Krav Maga and extracting water from a barrel cactus. Now that her parents are divorced, she’s ready to relax. Her big plans include making it to level 99 in her favorite MMORPG and spending the weekend with her new hunky stepbrother, Toby.
But all that disaster training comes in handy when an explosion traps her in a burning building. Stuck leading her headstrong stepsister, MacKenna, and her precocious little brother, Charles, to safety, Jinx gets them out alive only to discover the explosion is part of a pattern of violence erupting all over the country. Even worse, Jinx’s dad stands accused of triggering the chaos.
In a desperate attempt to evade paramilitary forces and vigilantes, Jinx and her siblings find Toby and make a break for Mexico. With seemingly the whole world working against them, they’ve got to get along and search for the truth about the attacks—and about each other. But if they can survive, will there be anything left worth surviving for?
