My Summer of Love and Limoncello by Sue Roberts @SueRobertsautho @bookouture #bookreview #mysummerofloveandlimoncello

Happy hump day book lovers!

Not sure about you but I am ready for some warmer weather so what’s better than to read a summer book! Thanks so much to Kim for my invitation to the tour and to Sue Roberts for her wonderful story!☀️

My Thoughts

Sunshine, friendship, and amore!

A delightful story full of fun, flirting, friendship, and food! Sue Roberts is brilliant at bringing the settings of her books to life. Once again I got to take a wonderful vacation to Italy from the comfort of my couch. Sue Roberts really gives you a vacation in a book!

Maisie has really had a string of bad luck. Still grieving the death of her mother she catches her husband in the act of cheating on her. Devastated and licking her wounds Maisie’s luck begins to turn when she wins a trip to Italy. The perfect time for a girls trip Maisie brings her two best friends Cheryl and Emma along for the fun. Italy was gorgeous and bursting with the warm sunshine, fabulous food, and gorgeous men.

This was such an engaging heartwarming story with a generous splash of romance. Maisie, Emma, and Cheryl‘s friendship was wonderful! I love strong female friendships in books and this was one of the best I’ve read. This was a group of ladies you would love to go on vacation to Italy with! Farmer John was a great love interest and I really loved all the… will he? Won’t he? This book was really packed with so many lovable well drawn characters that I am just certain I would know if I saw them walking down the street. Such a comforting story that made me feel warm inside and out.

A lovely story that will make you smile, laugh, and crave Italian food! Recommend!

🎵🎵🎵 Song Running Through My Head

(In Napoli where love is king
When boy meets girl here’s what they say)
When a moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie
That’s amore
When the world seems to shine like you’ve had too much wine
That’s amore
Bells will ring ting-a-ling-a-ling, ting-a-ling-a-ling
And you’ll sing “Vita bella”
Hearts will play tippy-tippy-tay, tippy-tippy-tay
Like a gay tarantella
When the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool
That’s amore
When you dance down the street with a cloud at your feet
You’re in love
When you walk in a dream but you know you’re not dreaming signore
Scuzza me, but you see, back in old Napoli
That’s amore
(When a moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie
That’s amore
When the world seems to shine like you’ve had too much wine
That’s amore
Bells will…

About the Book

Three best friends, Italian sunshine and a handsome stranger can fix just about anything… Can’t it?

Maisie Knight had it all. A gorgeous husband. A successful business. A beautiful home. Until one day, after walking into the storeroom of their shop, she loses it all at once – catching her husband cheating on her with the girl from Checkout 3. So when she wins a holiday to Italy, a week under the Tuscan sun couldn’t come soon enough.

Treating best friends Cheryl and Emma to a girls’ trip, the terracotta-roofed Villa Marisa on a rustic farm awaits them. The fields of golden sunflowers could be the perfect cure for Maisie’s broken heart – and local farmer, suspiciously perfect Gianni, with his thick black hair and twinkling brown eyes is a welcome distraction from her broken heart.

Mornings waking up to freshly brewed coffee and views of the rolling hills, moped rides with cheeky Italians, and feasts of prosecco and pasta help Maisie forget her troubles. After all her heartache, she’s surprised when she starts opening up to Gianni – she’s even more surprised when the temperature rises and it’s not just the rays of the Italian sunshine…

Maisie could get used to the good life. But just as she’s getting her spark back, disaster strikes. The next thing she knows, her past is catching up with her, reopening old wounds and Maisie has a life-changing decision tomake. Should she say ciao to her summer of love and limoncello?

A laugh-out-loud page turner about second chances, finding happiness when you least expect it and the restorative power of Italian food! Fans of Carole Matthews and Sophie Kinsella will be totally hooked by My Summer of Love and Limoncello

How to Bake a New Begining by Lucy Knott @LucyCKnott @TheBlossomTwins @HQDigitalUK #BookReview

TGIF book friends!

Delighted and charmed to be on the blog tour for this scrumptious debut! Many thanks to Kelly for my invitation and to her sister Lucy Knott for her wonderful words!💕💕

How to Bake a New Begining by Lucy Knott

My Thoughts

Emotional! Italian! Scrumptious!

This was a fabulous debut! Filled with so much heart, family, and food! I have read quite a few books lately with sisters that have pretty toxic relationships, so it was so refreshing to read a book so full of sisterly love… don’t have a sister myself, but it looks like such a strong and unique bond, when I read books like this I get a little jealous….

The sisters in this book Amanda, Sabrina, and Luisa, are all at somewhat different stages in their lives… they fight, they advise, they hold each other up, they bake! In the beginning of the book the sisters lose their beloved grandfather, and this leads to a trip to Italy…. not only is this a goodbye trip for their grandfather, but also a journey of rejuvenation and re-discovery…. There is also romance in this book, the sisters all have some complications in their love lives…. and the men? Well they were all pretty swoon worthy! I have to admit though, my favorite relationship was Amanda and Dan I love a good friends to lovers love story!

This book was a perfect blend of emotion and hope… with the beautiful backdrop of Italy, that allows you to travel from the comfort of your bed! With amazing recipes and scrumptious food that you could enjoy without the calories! With a powerful message that you can summarize in this quote“the only thing to fear is fear itself!“

A delight of a book with a holiday vibe that you can enjoy any time of the year! Absolutely recommend this little gem!

*** many thanks to Lucy Knott, Her sister Kelly, and HQ Digital for my copy of this book ***

About the Book

Three sisters. One trip to Italy. The chance to change their lives.

Amanda has always taken the role of big sister seriously. She has her life in order; a fantastic job in a great restaurant, a wonderful house and a best friend who’s a Rockstar. But, Amanda’s beginning to realise that her life is missing one monumental piece…

Sabrina is living the high life in LA. Her Instagram is full of lavish parties, her tweets are brimming with celebrity names, but in reality she’s stuck behind a desk working for a boss who is determined to make her suffer. Is it time for her to stand up and take charge of her life?

Louisa has always been drowned out by her sister’s successes. As the university drop-out she’s always felt third best. But a chance encounter in a little Italian village may be about to change that…

When their beloved grandfather passes away these sisters are forced to take another look at their lives. These three sisters are about to embark on a journey of self-discovery that could just lead them down a road of romance (with a little help from the kitchen)!

Perfect for fans of Jenny Oliver, Carole Mathews and Lucy Diamond.

Have a lovely day! Berit☀️✨

The Secrets of Villa Rosso by Linn B. Halton @LinnBHalton @HarperImpulse @rararesources #BookReview #Giveaway

Happy Tuesday book lovers!

Excited to be on the blog tour for this magical story! Many thanks to Rachel for my invitation and two Linn for her enchanting book!💜✨

The Secrets of Villa RossoThe Secrets of Villa Rosso

Some places stay with you forever…

When Ellie Maddison is sent on a business trip to Southern Italy, she’s reminded why she loves her job – set amongst rolling vineyards and rich olive groves, the beautiful Villa Rosso is the perfect escape from her life back home. But what Ellie isn’t prepared for is the instant connection she feels to the estate’s director Max Jackson, or the secrets they share that are as intertwined as the rambling vines that cover Villa Rosso.

It’s not long before Ellie finds herself entangled in the history of the place, trying to understand the undeniable effect Max is having on her. As their relationship grows, what will Ellie discover about this idyllic villa and those who have walked through its doors?

What started as a simple work trip will change Ellie’s life forever.

My Thoughts

4 Magical Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was a beautiful story with a sprinkling of something a little mystical, a little spiritual, a little paranormal… not even sure how to categorize it, and I’m sure each of us will take something a little different away from it, depending upon our own beliefs…. I found it quite magical and it left me feeling serene….

Once again I got to vacation vicariously through my book, this time we went to southern Italy! The descriptions were so vivid I felt as though I was there and as always when reading a book that takes place in Italy it made me hungry! Villa Rosso was located in such a charming village filled with such delightful, Artistic, and talented people….

Ellie was a wife to her soulmate Josh and a mother to her two teenage daughters… she has just begun working part time for an interior design company and when her boss/friend has a family emergency Ellie is called on to make a business trip to Italy…. when Ellie arrives in Italy she meets with Max and there is something between them… Ellie feels as though she knows Max and she feels as though she has been to Villa Rosso before… is this déjà vu? Is this kismet? Can you have more than one soulmate?

You need to know this is not a romance… even though it is a book filled with love… it is a story full of mystery, Secrets, and discovery…. it was quite unique and I can honestly say I have never read a book quite like this before… and even if you don’t believe in fate or deep connections, you can chalk it all up to coincidence… as I said everyone will get something a little different from this book….

Absolutely recommend when you’re in the mood for a book about love and secrets with a bit of a magical vibe…
